Police Blotter: Lost Handgun Found, False Alarm, Fraud in DE

Credit card fraud in Delaware
An Oakland Township resident reported Monday that someone has been fraudulently using his Chase credit card in Dover, DE, and had charged $871.54 to his card from June 3-11, according to an Oakland County Sheriff's Office report. The card was canceled and alerts placed on his other bank accounts.
Owner finds lost gun after four years
An Oakland Township resident recently found the handgun he had reported lost or stolen in 2007, according to a sheriff's office report.
The resident, who moved to Rolling Green Circle last year, was "going through some of the property left over from the move" Thursday when he found the gun packed in a box in a black cloth bag. Deputies are keeping the gun while they review the 2007 report.

False (house) alarm
An Oakland County Sheriff's deputy responded to an alarm at a residence on Antrim Court Friday morning. He checked the perimeter and fond the front door unlocked. "The interior was found to be in order with no indications of any forcible intrusion," read the report.
