Election: Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney

mike bishop is not qualified to be oakland county prosecutor. the prosecutor office has 180 employees and at least 50-60 are criminal law trial lawyers. bishop has never tried a felony case in his life. After he was term limited out of lansing he attempted to get the term limit law reversed. thankfully he failed to do so. He then became a real estate attorney. drafting a deed or reading a real estate closing statement has nothing to do with criminal law or criminal procedures Jessica Cooper is the present prosecutor and she is a former district judge, a former circuit judge, a former appeals court judge and the oakland county prosecutor for the last four years .She is tough on crime and her criminal trial lawyers have an extremely high
conviction rate. It is likely the finest county prosecutor office in the State of Michigan The voters of this County should ask themselves " if I was charged with a serious crime would I hire Mike Bishop "? If you would not hire him as your attorney why would you put him in charge of all the trials for all of the felony cases in Oakland County for the next four years? The population of Oakland County is 1,210,000 people. there are many felons in our County and many felons from other nearby counties come into our County to commit their crimes. A strong, competent County Prosecutor is always needed to protect the people of our County and see that such criminals are tried, found guilty and locked up. Francis P.. Hughes

Mike knows that leadership is both a privilege and a responsibility. With the support of Oakland County residents, the prosecutor’s office should be seen as a place where victims can be heard, where protocol and procedures are followed and where leadership is committed to those they represent.
What is difficult is that most people are not aware of exactly the impact of the Oakland County Prosecutor’s office on the community. Like all elected officials, the prosecutor must uphold the oath of office and maintain the public trust. The prosecutor must show fiscal responsibility when spending taxpayer money. And, the prosecutor must never forget that they are “the people’s attorney,” ensuring equal justice for all. This is all something that Cooper is not doing. She does not care about the people she is representing, she simply likes to brag about HER. Mike Bishop is the man for the job! Vote Mike Bishop November 6th!

The prosecutor job is more about competence and judgment either you have it or you don't, Michael Bishop does not appear to have either. The election is not about
liking or loving the candidate. It is not a beauty contest Michael Bishop is nice looking and dresses well, . but this is not an interview for a Men's Wearhouse spokesman job You should be a tough, seasoned, experienced, trial attorney not a politician looking for a new place at the public trough

Steve Afton for Prosecutor. He says it like it is: Non-prosecution of vice-offenses (victimless crimes), non-obstruction of jury nullification, and ending civil forfeiture actions. Power in the people.
