Oakland Township families, friends and visitors are invited to join the Boy Scouts of Rochester Troop 356 and volunteers from Rochester Bike Shop in the installation of ’s new boardwalks. This community-built boardwalk will support all-season trail access between Predmore and Romeo Roads for walkers, runners, and bicyclists.
Pre-registration is requested, as the township will be providing refreshments and a light lunch for all registered participants. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Romeo Road entrance.
Call the Oakland Township Parks and Recreation office at 248-651-7810 for more information or to register. The rain date for the boardwalk installation will be Oct. 30 at 10 a.m.
