In Brief: Candidates Interviewed For Interim Trustee Position

After current Orion Township Trustee from the Board of Trustees, four interested candidates stepped up to run for an interim trustee position, which would end in November. 

The four candidates were interviewed by board members at a special meeting held at on Wednesday night.

Of the four candidates, Donni Steele is the only one also seeking a four-year term as trustee on . The other three candidates that came forward include Orion Township residents Heather Muzzy, D-Arcy Gonzales and Dale Romeo.

Crane’s last day as a trustee will be Monday. After purchasing a house in Rochester Hills, he issued his letter of resignation because he will no longer be an Orion Township resident. Orion Township Supervisor JoAnn Van Tassel said she hopes the board will be able to make a decision at Monday night’s Board of Trustees meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at Orion Township Hall.

“It’s not going to be an easy decision,” Van Tassel said of appointing an interim trustee after candidates were interviewed.
