Last Chance To Apply For Orion Township Trustee Vacancy

If you would like a taste of what it's like to sit on Orion Township's governing board, this is your chance.

Due to current Orion Township Board of Trustees member , as of June 4 there will be an empty seat on the board. Applications are currently being accepted for an interim trustee to fill the vacancy. This year is , therefore the trustee's term will end Nov. 20.

Applications can be picked up at or obtained online at www.oriontownship.org. All applications must be returned to the Clerk's office by noon on Thursday. To qualify for the position applicants must be an Orion Township resident, be at least 18 years old and be registered to vote.

A special meeting date and time was approved – 7 p.m. May 30 at Orion Township Hall – where candidates will be interviewed with official questions drafted by a few board members. The special meeting will be broadcasted by Orion Neighborhood Television and members of the public are welcome to attend.
