On the Agenda: Planning Commission to Hold Public Hearing for Proposed Rezoning

The Oakland Township Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at . On the agenda is a for rezoning of , a proposed senior living complex to be constructed on the northwest corner of Adams and Dutton roads.

Moceri Development, which plans to build the complex, has made a request to rezone the land from medium residential density (MRD) to multiple family residential density with planned residential rezoning overlay (RM-PRRO). The PRRO is a way of assuring that the rezonings, if approved, would be tied to the planned unit development (PUD) plan presented by Moceri.

The public hearing is meant to gather public comment on the proposed rezoning; the Planning Commission will not vote on whether to recommend rezoning of Blossom Ridge to the Oakland Township Board of Trustees at Tuesday's meeting.

The commission will also discuss the Goodison plan – a plan to improve the historic Goodison area of Oakland Township – during the meeting, which is open to the public.
