   • Wednesday: A Lake Orion Community Schools Board of Education meeting takes place at 7 p.m. at the and an Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commission meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the building.
   • Thursday: The Lake Orion Village Council will host a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall to discuss the 2012-2013 budget.
2. iOrion Community Business Expo: More than 80 businesses (including Patch!) will be at Field House from 4-8 p.m. Thursday to participate in the 8th Annual Orion Area Chamber of Commerce Community Business Expo. Businesses at the event will be passing out samples, restaurants will be distributing free food and promotional materials will be available. Entrance to the expo is free.
3. Forks Over Knives Movie Viewing and Discussion: Attendees of this free will watch the documentary Forks Over Knives which highlights the health benefits of a plant-based diet. Cardiovascular nurse practitioner Debby Goodall will be onsite to further discuss the benefits and answer questions. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
4. Escape School Program: Rochester Community Schools will be hosting an at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the . The program is appropriate for first through fifth graders and their parents. It outlines abduction prevention and life-saving tips. For more information click .
