What’s Next, Lip Reading in Public Restrooms? Letter to the Editor

Author says most judges would regard critics' legal actions as nuisance lawsuits.

A letter to the editor from Francis P. Hughes:

I am sorry if i offended anyone (Letter to the Editor: Three Advocates or Three Shills?), but I have reviewed most of the content of "Oakland Township.Info " and I have concluded it is "much ado about nothing!"

Is it factual? Barely! Do most residents even care about it? Not really! Is it overdramatized? Absolutely! What is next? Are we going to hear about professional lip readers following Board of Trustees members to the restrooms?

All of us, including the three gentlemen involved, should realize that most judges regard their legal actions as "nuisance lawsuits" which garner little respect from the assigned judges and the general public.

Right wing politics on the township level are also equally ridiculous as are left wing politics.

Finally, I think most of us agree that blank check zoning was and is wrong no matter who the applicant is. Our Zoning Ordinance is well written and there is no good reason in the Blossom Ridge case why it should not apply. And, yes the

separate Township Superintendent position works well for our Township and should be retained.

– Sincerely, Francis P. Hughes
