Lake Orion Board of Ed Approves Hires Before School Starts
The district continues to hold open enrollment for school-of-choice students.
Lake Orion Board of Education authorized four teacher hires this month, according to Clarkston News.
The Aug. 14 motion comes on the heels of 26 teacher layoffs earlier this summer--14 of whom were already called back to the district--with a handful of other positions in choir, math, art and other subjects to fill, the newspaper reports.
Meanwhile, Lake Orion Community Schools are accepting new students through school-of-choice enrollment ending Sept. 6, according to the district website.
