On the Agenda: Lake Orion School Board To Discuss Innovative Learning Methods

Board members will receive an update on Project 21, an effort to consider new learning opportunities for students, at tonight's meeting.

Lake Orion Schools Superintendent Marion Ginopolis will give an update on Project 21 at tonight’s Board of Education meeting.

Project 21 is a special effort to consider new learning opportunities for students. In the spring, Ginopolis created a Year Round Task Force that includes parents and community members.

Some of the ideas the group is exploring are providing online learning opportunities for students; offering high school or middle school courses for children when they are not traditionally in school; or allowing students to use activities outside of school for credit.
