Strong Turnout Expected for Lake Orion Bond Vote

Orion Township clerk: 2,000 absentee ballots already issued ahead of Aug. 6 vote.

With Lake Orion's bond vote just days away, local officials are expecting a high turnout on Aug. 6, according to the Lake Orion Review.

Orion Township Clerk Penny Schults told the Review close to 2,000 ballots have already been issued, and the clerk's office will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday to issue absentee ballots.

Absentee ballots are due Aug. 5.

The Lake Orion school district has provided an online portal with information pertaining to the bond, which district residents can review here.
