Friday Night Rivalries: Your Guide to High School Football Tonight

Two homecoming games are on the schedule tonight in the Oakland Township area.

Here's an overview of the five football games being played by schools in the Oakland Township area tonight:

Stoney Creek vs. Southfield-Lathrup

(1-4) will bring in the Southfield-Lathrup Chargers (0-5) for the Cougars' 2011 homecoming game.  

The Cougars have played some tough opponents three weeks in a row and will look to snap their losing streak, drawing inspiration from the hype and alumni Friday night at 7 p.m.

Rochester Adams vs. Oxford

(4-1) hosts the Oxford Wildcats (3-2) in their 2011 homecoming game. The Wildcats have had some impressive wins against the likes of Lake Orion and Stoney Creek.  

The Highlanders must win two more games to make the playoffs, and they will look to get some revenge for our area on Friday night at 7 p.m.

Rochester vs. Clarkston

(1-4) hosts a tough Clarkston Wolves (3-2) team.  Clarkston would be undefeated if they hadn't played , causing them to forfeit their first two games.

The Falcons are coming off a .  A tough away schedule has hindered the Falcons from a playoff run this season, but they are poised to win some games to finish of the season when players return from injuries, and they look to stop the Wolves in their tracks.

Lake Orion vs. Troy

plays away against the Troy Colts (3-2).

Aside from their opening , the Lake Orion Dragons have been dominating the field beating their opponents by at least 28 points every game; even . They are undefeated in the , but don’t want to take their meet with the Colts lightly.

The Colts are 3-1 in the Red and hoping to be neck and neck with the Dragons after Friday’s game. They’ve had a series of both tight games and blowouts, making Friday night’s game an interesting match-up.
