Sports Buddies 2.0 is a mentoring initiative for sports enthusiasts who are interested in positively impacting the lives of youth through the Big Brothers Big Sisters’ one-to-one mentoring program. Sports Buddies 2.0 provides match relationships with a platform that fosters life skills, goal setting, character development, leadership and role models for good sportsmanship. Sports Buddies 2.0 provides opportunities for children to experience sporting and recreational events, such as the Miguel Cabrera Baseball Camp, that were once out of reach.

“Our partnership with ProCamps Worldwide is extremely valuable to what we do,” said LaRon Evans, Sports Buddies program coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit.  “Promoting life skills, character development and team work through sports gives young people a greater sense of self and helps promote healthier lifestyle choices for years to come.”

While registration for the camp has sold out, a waitlist is available on the ProCamps website.
