Vote Now: Lake Orion Athlete of the Fall Season

Vote from a list of very deserving candidates on who should be named the Patch Athlete of the Season.

There were a lot of great individual performances from high school athletes in the Oakland Township area this fall and we want to hear from our readers which one they thought was the best.

Here are the candidates from : 

Annie Jongekrijg (senior, Lake Orion swimming) - Jongekrijg  at the Division 1 finals. The senior set a new record with her time of 50.32 seconds. She was All-State in the 50-yard freestyle event with a time of 23.52. Jongekrijg finished in second place behind Jaynie Pulte.

Sean Charette (senior; Lake Orion football) – Charette showed no ill effects from the fractured left ankle he suffered in the playoffs last season. threw for more than 1,800 yards and 17 touchdowns. For his career, he ended up with over 5,600 yards and 65 touchdowns for the Dragons.

Shannon Murdock (senior; Lake Orion volleyball) – Murdock ranked near the top in most key statistical categories including kills, attacks and blocks. She helped the Dragons reach the Class A finals by leading the team in kills against , and .

TJ Carey (junior, Lake Orion cross country) – Carey finished at the Division 1 cross country state finals this year. He ran a 15:32.3 and helped the Dragons finish 11th overall as a team. Carey also helped Lake Orion also win a league championship by finishing in first at the Oakland Activities Association Red division jamboree.
