In order to meet its goal of making sure no child in the Orion area is without the miracle and magic of Christmas morning, the Lake Orion Police Department is launching its annual "Shop with a Hero" Christmas event to be held at the Oxford Meijer Store in December. The men and women of the Lake Orion Police Department will be joined by the soldiers of the 1775th Military Police Company in Pontiac to take 100 area children Christmas shopping this season. In addition, the Oxford Meijer store will be providing a complete Christmas dinner to each family represented.
