51 North Brewing Company in downtown Lake Orion has opened after months of eager anticipation. Co-owner Don Gindhart of Troy said business at the establishment – which offers beers, wines, meads and healthy comfort food made in-house, as well as live entertainment – has been booming. Tried to go 2 weeks ago, Saturday. Half the bar was empty, but we were told they were over capacity and we would have to wait outside, in the cold. Went to OSB instead and had a great time. Tried again to go last Wednesday. Got there at 10:55pm. All closed up. Close at 11pm during the week. Maybe eventually I'll get to try it out? more ›
