Orion Board Takes Up Tax Abatement
The 2013 budget and the senior center are also on Monday's agenda.
The new Orion Township Board of Trustees will get down to business with its first meeting on Monday, Dec. 3. The board will take public comment on a proposed Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate for a facility on Kay Industrial Drive. HiLite International is asking for five-year tax abatement in order to establish its North American research and development center in the township. The company plans to invest $125,000 in improvements to leased property and $3 million in new personal property, all to be completed in 2013-2014.
