Barnett, Van Tassel Gracious in Transfer of Power in Orion Township
The new Orion Township Board of Trustees was sworn in Tuesday.
It wasn’t quite business as usual Monday night when the outgoing Orion Township Board of Trustees met for the final time. Though business was conducted, there was also a lot of appreciation for the three outgoing board members, in particular Supervisor JoAnn Van Tassel. Well, when you have an out-going Supervisor who refuses to work with in-coming Supervisor and Trustees, as well as announcing a Hail Mary write-in campaign, to say it was acrimonious is putting it politely. Thank goodness civility and transparency is restored with the in-coming Board. All my best to Judy Workings, who is a class act all the way.   more ›
